RV Parking Information
Hello Race Fans!!!
This 4th of July Weekend marks the 58th Anniversary of Unlimited Hydroplane racing in Madison, Indiana. To complement the Unlimited’s this year we will are working to secure other classes of Boats for a 3 day event on the river.
Several items of interest this Year are: 1. This will be a 3 Day Race Event 4th 2. You will be able to arrive on Wednesday July 2nd after 12:00 pm so as to enjoy the evening festivities. 3. A 50% Non-Refundable deposit is required to reserve your spot/spots when reserving and all payment’s are due in full prior to June 8th or you may lose your spot/spots without prior arrangements. 4. Please note our E-Mail address for all future RV Questions and Applications madisonregatta@msn.com. As last year Event Staff will patrol through our area periodically, to assure us of a safe and peaceful environment. There are NO REFUNDS of Deposit or Spot/Spots Paid in Full for any reason. Location is the same as last year. See Maps for locations. If arrival before Wednesday there will be a $30.00 charge.
If you want the same spot as last year, we must receive your request and 50% deposit no later than April 15, 2008. After that date, the spots will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. Checks will only be taken for Deposit and Outstanding Balance’s until June 7th, without prior arrangement after that date only Cash or Credit Card will be accepted.
Wristband prices are also the same as last year: $20 through June 30th and $25 from July 1st on. Children 10 and under are free.
Three street front water manifolds will be available to fill your fresh water tanks, showers available at the pool house one block west of the campground (pay at the pool). 30 amp service is available only, for all except Popup/tent. We should be able to provide 15-amp service to most of these spots, bring extension cords for all. Generators may ONLY Be Run Between 8:00 AM and 9:30 PM. Dump wagon will be available for a cash fee Friday and Sunday Morning Only. You must complete your dump reservation slip and return to the RV office evening prior to your dump service.
Electric will be shut off at 10:00 AM Monday July 7th. We still have our standard RV Viewing area.
If you did not have a spot last year and would like one, please forward your Reservation Sheet with deposit and mark what spots you would like by numbering 1 as your first choice, 2, 3 and so forth. Sometime after May 15th, we will let you know which spot/spots you have received. If we have sold out by the time we receive your Reservation Sheet, we will inform you of the situation and the spot assigned closest to your request.

MADISON REGATTA RV’ers!!!
Below you will find a list of Rules and Policies for camping at our Regatta Facilities as well as some other useful information.
1. Please keep noise level down to a minimum after 10:30 pm & before 7:00 am. Let’s all adhere to the good neighbor policy and try to work amongst yourselves to solve any problems you may have. We will not intervene; instead you will have to get with security to solve your disputes. If someone or group is being unreasonable or uncooperative with Event Staff they and their entire RV party may find themselves removed from the RV area for good.
2. Due to high electrical demand on Race Day’s, from all area’s on the river, our Amp/Volt’s tend to drop considerable, so if you could Please minimize your electrical usage as much as possible so as to prevent overloading our fuse boxes... we all would appreciate it. Ex: Run propane in Fridge during Race Day Hours; turn your A/C off when using your microwave. Daytime use of generator’s (well ventilated area) is recommended during daytime hours only. We believe with the excellent staff of Regatta Electricians we have that all of our RV electrical problems have been solved on our end as far as breakers tripping and providing power to all the 30 amp sites.
3. Dump wagon is available Friday 7:30 am & Sunday 7:30 am. Cost is $25.00 (cash), and you must be present at time of service.
4. Due to the size of the RV parking area and the RV’s we park, there will be only one parking pass issued per RV spot. The RV itself will not be required to have a parking pass displayed once it’s parked. If you have any other vehicles you will need to find alternate parking on the streets outside of the Regatta fenced in area.
5. We will have additional wristbands for sale at $25.00 each if you need extra after you arrive.
6. Liquor is NOT sold on Sunday’s in Indiana, except at certain restaurants and bars!
7. No animals allowed inside the Regatta Gates. Except: service animals.
8. No bicycles, skateboards, roller blades or skates are allowed inside the Regatta gates.
While we enjoy Volunteering and putting the RV area together and running it each year, we would like to ask that unless it’s an emergency Please talk to the Event Staff working if there is a disturbance issue between the hours of 9:00 pm and 7:30 am.
