Heat 2C – Joe McCord

 
Only two boats answered the call for heat 2C. Greg Hopp and the Mirage Racing team U100, and Dr Ken Muscatel in the U2.25 Superior racing were the only boats able to get to a planning attitude. The U5 was not able to start the boat and Dr Muscatel, fired and went dead then restarted. That allowed Hopp to garner the 400 points for the heat. In the formulaboat.com pit Mike Weber was asked what happened and he shook his shoulders and walked away extremely upset.
