Madison Regatta, Inc. is a working organization that stages unlimited hydroplane races on the July 4th of July weekend each year. This includes festival events, limited classes of boat races, media events, hospitality events, and sponsorship events.
The success of the Madison Regatta depends on outside sources. We work very closely with state and local officials, as well as local, regional, and national businesses that contribute generously every year to our event. With this in mind, our member volunteers must agree to the following conduct:
1. Be a good ambassador for the Madison Regatta, Inc. conduct yourself in a professional and courteous manner at all times.2. Attend and participate as much as possible in monthly meetings.
3. Become involved in at least one Standing Committee.
4. Actively participate in at least one activity outside of race weekend
5. If you have a problem please go to your committee chairperson, or to the officer over your committee.
6. If the committee(s) for which you are volunteering are finished prior to race weekend, offer to volunteer for other events that need to be covered.
7. Altercations, profanity, or fighting will not be tolerated.
8. During race week, it is critical that we work as a team. We must conduct ourselves as professionals. If unacceptable behavior is observed during any Regatta Event, an officer or board member is authorized to remove your membership badge and wristband. At that time you will be escorted from Madison Regatta, Inc. leased or owned property.
Upon signing the membership application you accept the expectations and consequences of the Madison Regatta, Inc.

The 2008 Madison Regatta will prove to be a major celebration that will make this Regatta surpass all past events. Your involvement is needed to make all events run smoothly and efficiently. It is time to renew your membership, or become a member of an exciting organization that sponsors one of the shops on the Hydroplane Racing Circuit.
There are benefits of being a member of the Madison Regatta Committee. Some of these benefits include:
- The opportunity to vote for leadership team
- General Admission Wristband for Regatta Weekend
- Special nametag to wear during Regatta activities signifying you as a Madison Regatta member
- If member joins after June, the nametag will not be available
- Special member-only discounts on 2008 Regatta Merchandise
- Inclusion in the 2008 Official Madison Regatta Race Program and on the Madison Regatta website

- An invitation to monthly meetings with fellow members to gather to learn more about the Regatta happenings
The yearly membership dues are $25.00 per person (make checks payable to Madison Regatta, Inc.). These dues allow the committee, which includes you, to put on an extraordinary Regatta.
